How to get feed links

Though RSS very popular than ATOM, you can use either one depending on what you are looking for on your site.

The Problem with RSS and ATOM feeds

If you’re using feature images in your posts then automatically feature images don’t come into RSS or ATOM links. That means when your reader wants to read your articles from your feed links they will not see any images. They have to fetch the original HTML page from the RSS or ATOM link to see the feature image. Otherwise only the textual posts will appear to them. This may cause a drop in your viewers’ number.

Feature images also don’t appear by default in WordPress-generated RSS/ATOM feeds. You can only change the number of posts you want to show in the RSS/ATOM feed on the “Syndication feeds show the most recent” option under the Reading section of Settings option from the WordPress Admin panel. So you can increase or decrease the number of posts showing in your feeds from normal WordPress Settings.

That’s why to show featured images into RSS and ATOM feeds you need to install a special plug-in.
