Sourav Ganguly is a popular name in the history of international cricket. He is well known as ‘Dada’.

This left-handed batsman mesmerized the entire world with his playing magical performance. He was the captain of the Indian national team. He is considered one of India’s most successful Test Cricket captains. Under his captaincy, India has won 21 of 50 Test matches.

Sourav’s Captaincy:

India reached the final of the 2003 Cricket World Cup under his captaincy.

Sourav Ganguly is not only a captain with an aggressive attitude but he also inspires all the young cricketers who want to establish themselves as successful cricketers. He is one of the most famous cricketers in ODI cricket.

In ODI cricket, he has scored more than 11,000 runs. Although he started his life by playing football, he later reached the pinnacle of his popularity as a cricketer. Sourav Ganguly started his carrier in Bengal cricket in 1989, Then through various ups and downs and with an indomitable fighting mentality he became a successful player in the Indian cricket team, Statistics show that he played 113 Test matches and 311 in ODIs.

In the difficult times of Indian cricket, Sourav took led the Indian team and made the Indian team world-famous. He scores 7212 runs in Test matches, 11363 runs in One-day international match, 15687 is his special achievement in first-class cricket.

He plays an important role in popularizing Bengal cricket.

Besides being a famous cricketer he is also a good bowler. He has taken 32 Test wickets and 100 wickets in the ODI. In 1999, he was awarded the Arjuna Award by the Government of India.
